A customer stopped at my table at a market recently, picked up a few stones, looked around for a minute, then said the thing I hear more than almost anything else.

Genuinely one of my favorite things to hear. Not because I enjoy watching people look mildly overwhelmed (okay, maybe a little, it's very relatable), but because the answer is actually so much simpler than most people expect.

Here's what I've noticed about Amethyst: people who know nothing about crystals still pick it up.
Every time. Without fail. They'll be scanning the table and their hand will just drift toward the purple one. There's something about it that draws people in before they've even thought about why.
Visually it's soft, calming, and approachable. Not loud, not intimidating. It has a very "come sit down, you look tired" energy, which is fitting because it's traditionally associated with calm, emotional balance, and relieving stress and anxiety.
