How it forms: Ocean Jasper is a rare variety of orbicular jasper found only along the coast of Madagascar. It forms when silica-rich water deposits layers in volcanic rock, creating the distinctive circular orb patterns and flowing bands you see. The mine is now depleted, making each piece increasingly rare.
