How it forms: Caribbean Calcite is a mineral found only in Pakistan, consisting of soft blue calcite with brown and white aragonite. Both calcite and aragonite are calcium carbonate minerals that form in sedimentary and metamorphic environments. The distinctive ocean-blue color comes from trace mineral inclusions within the calcite, while the brown and white patterning reflects the natural aragonite veining that grew alongside it.
